So, it looks like J-Novel Club wants to play a game…

Earlier today, J-Novel Club updated their website with teasers for ten titles. The publisher revealed hints for five manga and five light novel projects. The hints are as follows:


  • Now with “enhanced” character design
  • Just call Terminix
  • Preferred Apache
  • The manga we deserve, but…
  • Are we sure this isnt a touhou?

The light novels are numbered items, though they are slated for a Winter 2018 launch. The five manga titles will be the launch lineup for J-Novel Club’s manga line.

J-Novel Club LogoJ-Novel Club opened their doors on October 14, 2016. The publisher specializes in English translations of Japanese light novels, which they will deliver in a “streaming” subscription format. As of press time, the publisher has more than twenty-five titles available on their service, which are receiving chapters on a weekly basis. The lineup includes Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash, Kokoro Connect, Arifureta Zero, and Outbreak Company, among others.

Since their launch, J-Novel Club has released numerous fan-favorite titles to retailers as eBooks, including Occultic;Nine and Arifureta: From Commonplace to World’s Strongest.

At Anime Expo, J-Novel Club announced that they will begin releasing titles in print, with In Another World With My Smartphone serving as the inaugural title for the format.
