Earlier today, the “World Witches Project” website updated with new details on the Idol Witches anime project. The project, titled Renmei Kūgun Kōkū Mahō Ongaku-tai Luminous Witches (Allied Air Force Magical Idols Luminous Witches), saw its first cast and crew members revealed, along with a trio of visuals.

Character Details
Details on two new characters were revealed:
Eleonore “Elly” Giovanna Gassion
She tends to be seen as strange, due to her choice of surroundings and overly frank behavior. Still, dhe doesn’t mind that at all. She has a cat as a familiar and can communicate with cats. She’s the type of person who can’t resist helping a person in need.
Aira Payvikki Linnamar
Aira was the only Ace Witch of the music corps. She left the front lines due to undisclosed circumstances, and made her return in the music corps. She look scool, but deep down, she’s a big sister who longs to help people. She’s a friend of Elly’s.

Staff
Shouji Saeki (Wish Upon the Pleiades, Mahoromatic: Summer Special) will take the director’s chair, and handling series composition for the project, while Kadokawa produces the music.

Renmei Kūgun Kōkū Mahō Ongaku-tai Luminous Witches will hit Japanese TV in 2021. The series will revolve around the titular Luminous Witches, a group within the military who doesn’t protect humanity on the front lines. Instead, they protect the smiles those who have been driven out of their homes by the Neuroi with the power of song and dance.
