J-Novel Club Announces Five Manga Licenses Including Ascendance of a Bookworm

Earlier this month, J-Novel Club let loose that they would be getting into the manga game with five titles set to be launched at a later time. Well, today is that day! This morning J-Novel Club announced via Twitter that their five new manga titles are now available to be read on the website (the titles are not currently available via the app but J-Novel Club did say that would be resolved soon). In celebration of the titles launching, the first chapter of each series is available to read for free.

The titles announced today can be found below complete with descriptions:

A Very Fairy Apartment CoverA Very Fairy Apartment by Amakara Surume

What do you get when you put a down-to-earth college student in a supposedly vacant apartment that’s actually full of some quirky, otherworldly creatures? A whole lot of trouble, a whole lot of cuteness, and a whole lot of fun. Sometimes cheap rent is enough to make you put up with the strangest of neighbors and roommates, but forget about sugar, spice, and everything nice; and get ready for potato chips, pranks, and everything messy!

The series has been running on Comic Gardo since early 2017 and will have its third volume shipped to store shelves later this month.

His good deed is acknowledged, and he’s rewarded by being enrolled into… a prestigious academy for noble children…?

Based on the light novels written by Yuri Kitayama – which are also available on J-Novel Club -, this series launched in 2017 and has two volumes published so far.

Nearly two years later, soon-to-be college freshman, Reiji Mukudori, is finally able to buy a copy of the game and start playing. With some help from his experienced older brother, Shu, and his partner Embryo, Reiji embarks on an adventure into the world of Infinite Dendrogram. Another one based off a series of light novels – which, again, are available on J-Novel Club.

What’s more, he’s betrothed to the king’s daughter now…?! In order to get the country back on its feet, Souma calls the wise, the talented, and the gifted to his side. Five people gather before the newly crowned Souma. Just what are the many talents and abilities they possess…?! What path will his outlook as a realist take Souma and the people of his country down? A revolutionary transferred-to-another-world administrative fantasy series starts here!

The third manga series to be based off a novel series that is already available on J-Novel Club (is anyone else sensing a pattern?), this is yet another series that launched in 2017 and has two volumes in print.

Ascendance of a BookwormAscendance of a Bookworm by Suzuka

She’d have to pay an enormous amounts of money to buy one. Maine resolves herself: If there aren’t any books, she’ll just have to make them! Her goal is to become a librarian. This story begins with her quest to make books so she can live surrounded by them! Dive into this biblio-fantasy written for book lovers and bookworms!

J-Novel Club closed out the announcements with a reminder that the manga titles will have two chapters published per month and that the manga reader is still buggy.
