Star ☆ Twinkle Precure Anime Gets Key Visual, Cast, & Crew


You know, in retrospect, this title would have worked with the Glitter Force pun better…

Earlier today, the official Precure website updated with a new key visual, as well as the main cast and crew for upcoming anime Star ☆ Twinkle Precure. We break the details down below.

Staff

Hiroaki Miyamoto (One Piece Episodes 352 – 679, Dream 9 Toriko & One Piece & Dragon Ball Z Chō Collaboration Special!!) was tapped to direct Star ☆ Twinkle Precure at Toei Animation, with Akira Takahashi (Glitter Force Doki Doki, Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Crystal: Season III) providing character designs. Isao Murayama (Maho Girls Precure!, Toriko) is in charge of series composition for the title.

Opening theme song Kirari ☆ 彡 Star ☆ Twinkle Precure (yes, that’s the official title) will be performed by Rie Kitagawa. Chiha Yoshitake will perform closing theme Papepipu ☆ Romantic

The series will star the following:

  • Hikaru Hoshina (Cure Star): Eimi Naruse
  • Lala Hagoromo (Cure Milky): Konomi Kohara
  • Erena Amamiya (Cure Soleil): Kiyono Yasuno
  • Madoka Kaguya (Cure Selene): Mikako Komatsu
  • Prunce: Hiroyuki Yoshino
  • Fuwa: Hina Kino

Star ☆ Twinkle Precure will hit Japanese TV on February 3. The series will replace currently running Hugtto! Precure in the 8:30AM slot on TV Asahi and ABC.

Star ☆ Twinkle Precure is the sixteenth installment in the long-running Pretty Cure franchise. The title was first discovered in October, when Trademark filings for the show were discovered.

Hugtto! Precure is the fifteenth Precure series, which first hit Japanese TV on February 4.

Junichi Sato (Aria the Animation, Sailor Moon) and Akifumi Zako (Go! Princess Pretty Cure the Movie Go! Go!! Gorgeous Triple Feature!!!, Dream 9 Toriko & One Piece & Dragon Ball Z Chō Collaboration Special!!) were tapped to direct the series at Toei Animation, with Toshie Kawamura (Glitter Force, Karneval) providing character designs. Fumi Tsubota (Pretty Rhythm Rainbow Live, 12-Sai: Chiccha na Mune no Tokimeki) is in charge of series composition.
