Sentai Filmworks Adds “The Magnificent Kotobuki”; HIDIVE To Simulcast


Kouya no Kotobuki Hikoutai Anime VisualEarlier today, Sentai Filmworks announced that they acquired the exclusive rights to The Magnificent Kotobuki (Kouya no Kotobuki Hikoutai) in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Latin America, the Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Spain, and Portugal. Sentai will stream the series as a simulcast on select digital outlets, followed by a home video release.

HIDIVE announced that they will stream the series as part of their Winter 2019 simulcast lineup. The series will kick off on January 13, at 14:00 UTC (11:00AM EST, 8:00AM PST).

Tsutomu Mizushima (Girls und Panzer, Shirobako) will direct the project at studio GEMBA, with Shou Sugai providing character designs. Michiko Yokote (Princess Tutu, Genshiken) is in charge of series composition for the project.

The main voice cast includes:

  • Kirie: Sayumi Suzushiro
  • Emma: Eri Yukimura
  • Kate: Sayaka Nakaya
  • Leona: Asami Seto
  • Zara: Hibiku Yamamura
  • Chika: Miyu Tomita

The talented members of Team KOTOBUKI use their impressive dogfighting skills to help defend and transport goods for survival across a desolate wasteland.
