Ensemble Stars! Gets New Trailer & Premiere Date

Earlier today, Ensemble Stars! fans flocked to the Nippon Budokan for the “Ensemble Stars! Starry Stage 2nd ~in Nippon Budōkan~” concert event. During the show, a new trailer, plus release details for the show’s upcoming anime were announced.

The 36-second promo offers a brief look at the show’s leads, before cutting to a confirmation of a July premiere date.

Ensemble Stars! will air in July.

Ensemble Stars Anime VisualStudio David Production will produce the show, which features original scenario writer Akira handling series composition. Tatsuya Katō will score the show’s soundtrack, while Satoru Kuwabara serves as music producer.

The main voice cast will reprise their roles from the Ensemble Stars! smartphone game.

Ensemble Stars will hit Japanese TV in 2019. The series was first announced in 2015, with GENCO attached as the studio. The show was originally slated for a 2017 première, though it was delayed due to what both companies described as “various circumstances.”

The Ensemble Stars smartphone game launched on Google Play on April 28, 2015. The iPhone release came three days later, on May 1, 2015. The title has since received four stage musicals, a manga series, light novels, and music CDs.
