Ni No Kuni Movie Gets 5 New Cast Members


Earlier today, the official website for the Ni No Kuni anime movie updated with five cast members. The series will add the following:

  • Yoki: Mamoru Miyano
  • Gabaras: Kenjiro Tsuda
  • Velsa: Maaya Sakamoto
  • Saki: Maaya Sakamoto
  • Balton: Kouichi Yamadera
  • Danpo: Yuuki Kaji

A visual for the characters was also revealed, which you can check out below:

Ni No Kuni opens in July.

Actor and model Kento Yamazaki as YuYoshiyuki Momose (Modest Heroes, Ghiblies) will direct the project at OLM, with Level 5’s Akihiro Hino (Layton Mystery Tanteisha: Katori no Nazotoki File, Mobile Suit Gundam AGE) writing the script. Composer Joe Hisaishi (Spirited Away, Nausicaa) will score the soundtrack.

The confirmed voice cast includes:

  • Yū: Kento Yamazaki

Ni No Kuni is based on the video game series of the same name. The first game, Ni no Kuni: Dominion of the Dark Djinn, launched on Nintendo’s DS handheld in December 2010, and sold more than 500,000 units in Japan. The second game, Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch, launched in November 2011 on Sony’s Playstation 3 console, and received a western release in early 2013. The entry was universally acclaimed, and moved more than move million units in its lifetime.

Sequel game Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom debuted on Sony’s PlayStation 4 console and Microsoft Windows on March 23, 2018.
