Aniplex of America To Stream Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, 1 More As Simulcasts


Earlier today, Aniplex of America announced that they will stream two shows as part of their Spring 2019 simulcast lineup. The publisher will stream the following:

  • Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba
  • We Never Learn: BOKUBEN

Both titles will stream on Hulu, Crunchyroll, and FunimationNow starting April 6.

Haruo Sotozaki (Tales of Symphonia the Animation, Tales of Zestiria the X) will direct Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba at ufotable, with Akira Matsushima (Maria Watches Over Us, Tales of Zestiria the X) providing character designs.

Aniplex of America describes the title as:

It is the Taisho Period in Japan. Tanjiro, a kindhearted boy who sells charcoal for a living, finds his family slaughtered by a demon. To make matters worse, his younger sister Nezuko, the sole survivor, has been transformed into a demon herself.

Though devastated by this grim reality, Tanjiro resolves to become a “demon slayer” so that he can turn his sister back into a human, and kill the demon that massacred his family.

We Never Learn: BOKUBEN

Yoshiaki Masaaki (Hayate the Combat Butler!!, Love Hina) will direct We Never Learn: BOKUBEN at Studio Silver and Arvo Animation, with Masakatsu Sasaki (Seiyu’s Life!, A-Channel) providing character designs. Go Zappa (Blend S, Beatless) is in charge of series composition.

Nariyuki Yuiga is in his last and most painful year of high school.
