Crunchyroll to Stream Strike Witches: 501st Joint Fighter Wing Take Off!, Trinity Seven Movie


Earlier today, Crunchyroll announced that they will add two titles to their digital library. The publisher will stream the following:

  • Strike Witches: 501st Joint Fighter Wing Take Off!
  • Trinity Seven: Heaven’s Library & Crimson Lord

Trinity Seven: Heaven’s Library & Crimson Lord will launch for subscribers in the United States on April 25.

Crunchyroll will stream both the dubbed and subtitled versions of Strike Witches: 501st Joint Fighter Wing Take Off! on their digital platform. The first three subtitled episodes are currently available for users in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Iceland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and the Netherlands. New episodes will be added on Tuesdays at 12:15PM Eastern (9:15AM Pacific) for the subtitled version and 4:00PM Eastern (1:00PM Pacific) for the dubbed adaptation.

Fumio Ito is directing the project at studios Giga Production and acca effe, with Kei Anjiki (Yotsuiro Biyori) providing character designs. Shinya Murakami (Strike Witches 2, High School Fleet) is in charge of literature production.

Crunchyroll describes the title as:

Strike Witches, the 501st Joint Fighter Wing girls, are back from battle and ready to relax as best they can! War with the deadly Neuroi won’t last forever, but one thing is certain, the war on laundry is eternal. Join these aerial combat cuties in a down-to-earth series highlighting the team’s hijinks between missions.

Trinity Seven: Heaven’s Library & Crimson Lord

Trinity Seven: Heaven’s Library & Crimson Lord hit Japanese theaters on March 29. The film was directed by Hiroshi Nishikori (A Certain Magical Index, Trinity Seven) at Seven Arcs Pictures, with Shinpei Tomooka (Inukami!, Trinity Seven) providing character designs. Kenji Saito wrote the feature’s screenplay.

Crunchyroll describes the film as:

Arata Kasuga is a Demon Lord candidate who possesses the “Demon Lord Element,” which is said to destroy the world. He, along with Lilith Asami, is investigating a certain ruin.

Suddenly, a dazzling light pours down from the sky. A mysterious man in a hood who looks just like Arata appears. The man has regained his power as the Demon Lord and now plans to destroy the world.
