Crunchyroll to Host Mob Psycho 100 II OVA Premiere At CRX 2019


Mob Psycho 100 II OVA Key VisualEarlier today, Crunchyroll announced that they will host the world premiere of upcoming OVA Mob Psycho 100 II: The First Spirits and Such Company Trip ~A Journey that Mends the Heart and Heals the Soul~ at Crunchyroll Expo. The publisher will host a screening on Sunday, September 1, which will be attended by character deisgner Yoshimichi Kameda, director Yuzuru Tachikawa, and Mob voice actor Setsuo Ito. The event will be immediately followed by a panel.

Mob Psycho 100 II: The First Spirits and Such Company Trip ~A Journey that Mends the Heart and Heals the Soul~ will stream on Crunchyroll on September 25 for all subscribers outside of Asia.

Mob Psycho 100 II started airing on January 7.

The core staff from the first season returned to work on the show at Bones. Yuzuru Tachikawa (Death Parade) will returned to the director’s chair, while Yoshimichi Kameda (Paroru no Miraijima) provided character designs. Hiroshi Seko (Ajin – Demi-Human, Seraph of the End) was in charge of series composition on the project.

The first season of the Mob Psycho 100 anime aired in the Summer 2016 broadcast season. Crunchyroll streamed both seasons as they aired, and describes the title as:

Kageyama Shigeo (a.k.a. Mob) is an 8th grader with powerful psychic abilities. Workingunder his not-so-capable master, Reigen, Mob uses his powers to exorcise evil spirits. But his will to be normal causes him to suppress his powers and feelings until he hits 100 percent — a point where his pent-up emotions are unleased and a darker power takes over.
