Zombie Land Saga Anime Gets Second Season; First Trailer & Visual Revealed


Earlier today, fans of Franchouchou flocked to Karatsu City for the “Zombie Land Saga LIVE ~ Let’s meet everyone ~ In SAGA” fan event. During the show, it was announced that the Zombie Land Saga anime will get a second season. A new visual and trailer were revealed for the series, titled Zombie Land Saga Revenge.

Trailer

The 105-second promotional video is a live-action newscast, which features a government worker standing in front of a yellow building. As tense music plays, the person gives a fiery speech about finding the light for Saga through Revenge. The footage cuts to a pan of the visual, in which Kotaro Tatsumi begins an impassioned speech of his own before the audio fades out.

The image features Kotaro Tatsumi standing in the rubble of the building featured in the trailer, his shirt open, hands stretching toward the heavens as a light shines down from above.

Zombie Land Saga aired in the Fall 2018 broadcast season.

Munehisa Sakai (Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Crystal Season 1, One Piece Episodes 244 – 372) directed the series at MAPPA, with Kazumi Fukagawa (Idolish7) providing character designs. Shigeru Murakoshi (Azure Striker Gunvolt, Garo: Crimson Moon) was in charge of series composition for the project.

Zombie Land Saga is a co-production between Cygames, MAPPA, and Avex Pictures. Crunchyroll streamed the show as part of their Fall 2018 simulcast lineup. They describe it as:

A typical morning. The usual music. Their normal lives. The peace these seven girls experience will suddenly be destroyed. By the living dead… zombies. A reality that they never wanted a part of, an amazing and terrifying zombie world. They all share one wish: “We want to live.” These girls will struggle through this saga, in order to achieve a miracle. MAPPA, Avex Pictures, and Cygames team up to bring you a juicy, 100% original anime. A timeless shocker for all audiences, a brand new style of zombie anime, will soon rise.
