2 New Cast Members Confirmed For “The Hero is Overpowered but Overly Cautious” Anime


Earlier today, the official The Hero Is Overpowered But Overly Cautious (Kono Yūsha ga Ore TUEEE Kuse ni Shinchō Sugiru) anime website updated with two new cast members. The series will add the following:

  • Mash: Kengo Kawanishi
  • Eruru: Aoi Koga

Visuals for both characters were also revealed, which you can check out below.

The Hero Is Overpowered But Overly Cautious hits Japanese TV on October 2. The broadcast schedule is as follows (All times JST):

"The Hero Is Overpowered But Overly Cautious" Anime VisualMasayuki Sakoi (Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online, Celestial Method) will direct the project at White Fox, with Mai Toda (Girls’ Last Tour, Matoi the Sacred Slayer) providing character designs. Kenta Ihara (Saga of Tanya the Evil) is in charge of series composition, and is writing the screenplay for the project.

The series will star the following:

  • Seiya Ryūgūin: Yuichiro Umehara
  • Lista: Aki Toyosaki

Light Tuchihi and illustrator Saori Toyota’s The Hero Is Overpowered But Overly Cautious light novels launched under Kadokawa’s Kadokawa Books imprint in February 2017. The series currently spans five volumes, with the latest shipping to stores on November 10, 2018. A manga adaptation by Tuchihi and illustrator Koyuki launched in Fujimi Shobo’s Monthly Dragon Age magazine on November 9, 2018.

Yen Press currently distributes the The Hero Is Overpowered But Overly Cautious light novels in North America. They describe the title as:

The goddess Lista summons a hero who excels in every area to assist her. He’s everything she expected him to be except for one, tiny thing: this anxious hero can’t do anything unless he’s absolutely sure nothing can go wrong!
