Sword Art Online: Alicization – War of the Underworld To Debut At New York Comic Con


Sword Art Online Alicization War of the Underworld Key VisualEarlier today, the official Sword Art Online: Alicization anime website announced that the New York Comic Con will host the North American premiere for Sword Art Online: Alicization – War of the Underworld. The first two episodes will be shown at the con’s “Anime Fest at NYCC” event on October 6. The screening will be held from 3:00PM – 5:00PM eastern, and will feature Kirito voice actor Bryce Papenbrook as a guest.

Tickets to the event will cost $19 for standard admission and $39 for Premium Tickets. All attendees will receive a free clear file, while supplies last. Premium Ticket holders will also be able to invite a meet-and-greet and signing event with Papenbrook after the show.

Sword Art Online: Alicization – War of the Underworld will hit Japanese TV on October 12. The series will also be screened on October 6 during Australia’s Madman Anime Festival Perth.

Manabu Ono (Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere, A-Channel) will return to direct the project at A-1 Pictures, with the team of Gou Suzuki, Kento Toya, Shingo Adachi, Tomoya Nishiguchi, and Yumiko Yamamoto providing character designs. Yuki Kajiura (Fate/stay night: Heaven’s Feel, Puella Magi Madoka Magica) will score the soundtrack.
