Mr. Osomatsu and Stephen King’s IT Collide In New Web Teaser


Earlier today, Warner Brothers revealed started streaming a new teaser short for Eiga no Osomatsu-san (Mr. Osomatsu The Movie) and IT / IT: The End. The 87-second short features the Matsuno brothers commenting over footage from the IT movies.

Eiga no Osomatsu-san will hit Blu-Ray on November 5. IT: The End opened on November 1.

Eiga no Osomatsu-san Anime Film VisualYoichi Fujita (Gintama, ClassicaLoid) returned to direct the film at Studio Pierrot, with Naoyuki Asano reprising their role as character designer. Shu Matsubara (ClassicaLoid) came back to write the movie’s script.

In the film, the Matsuno brothers attend their high school reunion, where they discover that all of their former classmates have grown into honest-to-goodness adults with corporate jobs and actual futures. Rather than face reality, the sextuplets drown their sorrows in booze, before heading home and passing out. When they awaken, they notice that something is “off”, and find that they somehow wound up in the past. Now, the Matsuno brothers must find their 18-year-old selves to discover the truth of what is going on.
