Earlier today, an official website and Twitter account opened their doors to announce that Sou Hamayumiba’s Ochikobore Fruit Tart will get an anime TV series. The first cast and crew members were revealed for the project, along with a key visual. We break the details down below.

Keiichiro Kawaguchi (Frame Arms Girl, Hayate the Combat Butler!) will direct the series at studio feel., with Sumie Kinoshita (Girlish Number, New Game!!) providing character designs. The team of Keiichiro Kawaguchi and Tatsuya Takahashi (Katana Maidens: Toji no Miko, And you thought there is never a girl online?) are taking charge of series composition.
The confirmed voice cast includes:
- Hayu Nukui: Haruka Shiraishi
- Ino Sakura: Hiyori Nitta
- Hemo Midori: Kyōka Moriya
- Nina Maehara: Reina Kondo
- Roko Sekino: Risa Kubota
Sou Hamayumiba’s Ochikobore Fruit Tart launched in Houbunsha’s Manga Time Kirara Carat magazine in November 2014. The ongoing series spans four volumes to date, with the most recent shipping to stores on October 25.

Fourth dormitory of the Rat Production (commonly known as Nezumi-sou), the place where dropout idol girls live; the former child actor Sekino Roko, musician Nukui Hayu, and model Maehara Nina. Sakura Ino, who always dreamed of becoming an idol, moves in. At the same time the decision is made to demolish the dormitory. Due to the project launched by the manager Kajino Hoho, “Ochikobore Fruit Tart,” occupants of the dormitory form a new idol group called “Fruit Tart,” and start their activities in order to repay a one hundred million yen debt.
