Brittany Lauda and Matt Shipman to Attend Anime Boston 2020


On January 14, Anime Boston announced that voice actors Brittany Lauda and Matt Shipman will attend this year’s convention as guests of honor. The two join five previously confirmed guests:

  • Michelle Ruff
  • Maile Flanagan
  • GIRLFRIEND
  • m-flo

Brittany Lauda has been active in the entertainment industry since 2013. She made her debut in 2013, with Mirim from Queen’s Blade. She has gone on to voice more than one hundred roles since then, including:

  • Yuzuriha Ogawa (Dr. Stone)
  • Ichigo (DARLING in the FRANXX)
  • Riko (Made in Abyss)
  • Mai Minakami (Nichijou – My Ordinary Life)
  • Miza Kusakari (Tokyo Ghoul:re)

In January 2015, Lauda was a founding member of MB Voiceworks, which operated through May 2016.

Lauda married fellow actor Matt Shipman in 2018. The two co-own production studio Kocha Sound.

Matt Shipman is a voice actor, ADR director, and co-owner of production studio co-owner of Kocha Sound. Over the course of his career, Shipman has voice more than one hundred roles, including:

  • Floch Forster (Attack on Titan)
  • Alecdora Sandler (Black Clover)
  • Hiro (DARLING in the FRANXX)
  • Chrome (Dr. Stone)
  • Nao Tsukinose (Stars Align)
  • Cavendish (One Piece)

Shipman married fellow actor Brittany Lauda in 2018.

Anime Boston 2020 will be held from April 10 – 12, at the Hynes Convention Center.
