To be honest, this is one of those pieces that none of us ever wishes we had to write, as there are just no words to really describe what any of us are feeling. Zac Bertschy was a true friend to all of us in the community, and he’s left a truly indelible mark on so many of our lives. I only had the pleasure of speaking with him a few times on the convention circuit, but it was hard to really deny his infectious enthusiasm or his great admiration for his team members and colleagues alike.

He was a brilliant person, and a friend to all of us. To all of Zac’s family, friends, and to the team members at Anime News Network, you have our team’s best wishes and my deepest condolences.
