This announcement comes after last week’s news that the North American premiere of -KIZUMONOGATARI- PART 2: NEKKETSU will be held at AkibaFest (www.AkibaFest.com) on October 15. AkibaFest —a new anime fan festival announced during Anime Expo in July— will take place in the Little Tokyo area of Los Angeles, on October 15 and 16 in 2016, bringing with it the fun and festivities typically associated with the famous Akihabara sector of Tokyo. -KIZUMONOGATARI- PART 2: NEKKETSU features the origin story of the highly popular Monogatari Series originally created by author NISIOISIN and is a direct prequel to the BAKEMONOGATARItelevision series. In the spring of his second year of high school, Koyomi Araragi met the beautiful vampire Kiss-shot Acerola-orion Heart-under-blade. Koyomi saved Kiss-shot, who was on the verge of death with all four of her limbs cut off, but only at the expense of becoming her minion and a vampire. In order to become human again, he must take back all of Kiss-shots limbs from the three vampire hunters – Dramaturgy, Episode, and Guillotinecutter – who nearly killed her before. This highly anticipated film will be bringing together an all-star creative staff including Director Tatsuya Oishi (Series Director ofBAKEMONOGATARI), Character Designer Akio Watanabe, who worked on the entire

Monogatari series, and Chief Director Akiyuki Shimbou (Madoka Magica, Monogatari Series, NISEKOI). Studio SHAFT will be responsible for the anime production.
