Aniplex of America announced that they will release Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie –Rebellion- on domestic DVD and Blu-Ray. The title will ship in three editions: A Limited-edition Blu-Ray/DVD combo pack, a standard DVD and a standard Blu-Ray.

The Limited Edition will contain the following extras:

All three releases will hit stores on April 7, 2015. The Limited Edition will cost $79.98, The Standard Blu-ray will carry a price of $49.98, and the DVD will cost $39.98.

The Third and Final Arc of the “Puella Magi Madoka Magica”

the Movie Franchise Coming This April!

SANTA MONICA, CA (January 16, 2015) –Madoka Magica fans were excited to hear the news they have been waiting for. Aniplex of America announced at their OTAKON Vegas industry panel on Saturday their plans to release Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie –Rebellion- on a Limited Edition Blu-ray/DVD/Soundtrack CD Combo Set, Standard Edition Blu-ray and Standard Edition DVD. The street date for all three SKUs will be April 7th and pre-orders can be made starting January 16th through the official homepage (www.MadokaMagicaUSA.com).

Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie –Rebellion- is the third and final installment of this feature film series following the first two theatrical releases—Beginnings and Eternal. The final chapter, Rebellion, was a major hit when it saw screenings in theaters across the U.S. and Canada in 2013. At the completely sold out Los Angeles Premiere Event which took place at the Egyptian Theater on December 3rd 2013, fans enjoyed the dramatic finale alongside special guests such as the President of SHAFT (animation production), the producer, and the English cast members.

Both limited and standard editions of Rebellion will include the original Japanese and English audio with English and Spanish subtitles. The Limited Edition and the Standard Edition Blu-raywill include numerous bonus contents such as the textless opening and ending sequences, theatrical trailer, commercials and some videos featuring collaborations with the Monogatari Series franchise which is also created by studio SHAFT. The Limited Edition will also include the exclusive original soundtrack CD, a deluxe booklet and a postcard set.

The Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie Rebellion will be available for sale in the U.S., Canada, Central and South Americas only. The Limited Edition will be sold only while supplies last.
