Aniplex to Simulcast Sword Art Online Extra Edition

At Singapore's Anime Festival Asia 2013, Aniplex announced that they will stream the Sword Art Online Extra Edition anime special worldwide. The special will air on December 31, 2013, at 10:00PM Japanese local time. It will air on the Tokyo MX and BS11 networks, as well as the Nico Nico Douga streaming site.

In North America, Central America, and South America, the title will stream on January 1, 2014 at 10:00AM Eastern. Crunchyroll and Daisuki will stream the title via their respective services.

During a talk show at Anime Festival Asia 2013 in Singapore, Aniplex Inc. announced their plans of a worldwide simulcast of the special year-end program, “Sword Art Online EXTRA EDITION.” In Japan, “Sword Art Online EXTRA EDITION” is scheduled for broadcast on 12/31/2013 at 10PM (Japan Time), on TOKYO MX, BS11, and Nico Nico Douga. Fans of Sword Art Online all over the world will now be able to welcome the New Year while enjoying this special episode right alongside their fellow fans in Japan!
