NOZOMI ENTERTAINMENT Announces the Litebox-Style DVD release of ARIA THE ORIGINATION + OVA Collection 

GRIMES, IA, January 8, 2014 — Anime producer Nozomi Entertainment is pleased to announce ARIA The ORIGINATION + OVA Collection will be released on May 6, 2014.

This new, value-priced DVD set will contain the final 13-episodes of the ARIA anime series, a DVD only bonus episode and ARIA The OVA ~ARIETTA~. It features Japanese audio, English subtitles and on-screen translation. On-disc extras will include picture dramas 1–7, clean closing, U.S. trailer, cast discussion on ARIA, director discussion on ARIA, SATOJUN’s  “Venice, I’m Sorry!” Returns parts 1 & 2, and Nozomi Entertainment trailers.

Based on Kozue Amano’s best-selling ARIA manga, the ARIA anime consists of three television seasons: ARIA The ANIMATIONARIA The NATURAL and ARIA The ORIGINATION, plus an OVA (original video animation). The entire anime adaptation features direction by Junichi Sato (Princess TutuSgt. Frog) and animation by Hal Film Maker (Boys Be…Pretear).

As winter melts into spring, Akari, Aika and Alice continue to work hard on becoming Neo-Venezia’s top gondoliers. Aika starts to take on more responsibility around Himeya, Alice travels up the challenging canal near Hope Hill; even Akari spends a day working on a huge gondola called a traghetto!
