Lucky Penny Announces Aoi Hana Release Date


RIGHT STUF’S LUCKY PENNY ENT. Announces DVD Release of
SWEET BLUE FLOWERS (Aoi Hana)

Complete series available as a Litebox-style DVD set on March 5, 2013. 

 

GRIMES, Iowa, Nov. 14, 2012 – Anime producer and distributor Right Stuf, Inc. and its Lucky Penny Entertainment label are pleased to announce the SWEET BLUE FLOWERS (Aoi Hana) Complete Series DVD set will be available on March 5, 2013. 

The DVD set will include the entire 11-episode television series,in a single DVD keepcase, with Japanese audio, English subtitles and on-screen translations, and on-disc video extras. 

This anime adaptation of the character-driven, coming-of-age manga by Takako Shimura (Wandering Son) features direction by Kenichi Kasai (Honey and Clover), animation by J.C. Staff (Revolutionary Girl Utena, Nodame Cantabile), and an opening animation sequence conceived by Kunihiko Ikuhara (Revolutionary Girl Utena, Penguin Drum). The series succeeded Ristorante Paradisoin Fuji TV’s NOISE timeslot and was also simulcast by Crunchyroll. In 2009, it was recognized by the jury of the 13th Japan Media Arts Festival as a recommended work.
