Pop Team Epic Brings Bizarre Fun to Sentai Filmworks

HOUSTON, TX, January 2, 2018 – One is short and angry, the other is tall and calm but together they are perfect to size-up any crazy situation. Popuko and Pipimi will take us on a bumpy ride through anime, manga and video game references showered in absurdist comedy and their out of nowhere reactions.

This story from Kamikaze Douga (Amanatsu and Cocolors) and King Records (Hozuki’s CoolheadednessUtawarerumono:The False Faces, and Ajin: Demi-Human) is based on the cult web comic by Bukub Okawa and directed by Jun Aoki and Aoi Umeki. The series will start in the Winter 2018 season and will be available for streaming on HIDIVE, beginning in January 2018.
