Studio XF8 has launched he Kickstarter Campaign for “Cross Fate – First Cycle”, the first game of a mecha combat trilogy. An emerging and ambitious indie, Studio XF8 aims to bring back the 1990’s style tactical experience of mecha combat to today’s audience.
“Fans of the classic genre will enjoy the return of squad-based tactical gameplay, which has been missing from modern games,” states Anderson DePaula, lead designer at Studio XF8. “Our story is presented in a graphic novel style which provides a unique contrast with the 3D mecha combat sequences.”
The best science-fiction stories always have strong, relatable characters. In “Cross Fate – First Cycle”, the protagonist, a resilient yet inexperienced commander, searches for the truth in a world of conspiracy, and becomes swept up in an epic struggle for survival against multiple threats throughout the solar system.
