Weddings are a special time, when two lives come together to form a bond that is (supposedly) eternal. Friends, family, and acquaintances come together to celebrate, and send the couple off into a hopeful new life of wedded bliss.

Of course, that doesn’t mean that people can’t get creative.

In Japan, a pair of die-hard geeks tied the knot recently, and held a reception that got the bride, groom, and guests involved as participants. The happy couple acted out a short, one-act play in cosplay. The bride took the stage dressed as Saber from Fate/Stay Night, while the groom played the role of Kamen Rider Drive.

Guests could purchase a special doujinshi for the event, which featured a cover illustration by artist Sora. Sadly, the image was taken down as of press time, though reports state that it featured Gurren Lagann‘s Nia as the cover girl.

Overall, it’s a sweet way for the two lovebirds to kick off a life together. Hopefully, their future proves to be as exciting as this day was.
