Moon, dub cast, make up!
Earlier today, Viz Media announced several new cast members for Sailor Moon S‘s English dub. The series will add the following members:
- Haruka Tenoh / Sailor Uranus: Erica Mendez
- Michiru Kaioh / Sailor Neptune: Lauren Landa
- Hotaru Tomoe / Sailor Saturn: Christine Marie Cabanos
- Professor Tomoe: Keith Silverstein
This is Silverstein’s second role in the series. He also portrays Usagi’s father in Viz Media’s dub.
Sailor Moon S is the third series in the original Sailor Moon anime franchise. The title was directed by Kunihiko Ikuhara (Revolutionary Girl Utena, Penguindrum), and animated by Toei Animation. Sailor Moon S aired from March 1994 through February 1995, and contained 38 episodes.
Viz Media announced that they acquired the domestic rights to the entire run of the original Sailor Moon, as well as Sailor Moon Crystal last May. The company will release all 200 episodes, three feature films, and myriad specials in the franchise.
Viz Media will release Sailor Moon R‘s first set on DVD and Blu-Ray on July 14.
As of press time, the first 119 subtitled episodes (and 23 dubbed episodes) are available for free streaming on Neon Alley and Hulu.
