The doctor is in… med school?!
Earlier today, the official Young Black Jack Twitter account announced the official cast and crew for the upcoming series. Mitsuko Kase (Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory, Ristorante Paradiso) will direct the series at Tezuka Productions. Armored Trooper VOTOMS creator Ryousuke Takahashi will be in charge of series composition, while the team of Miyuki Katayama and Nana Miura will provide character designs.
The rest of the confirmed crew is as follows:

Akio Ōtsuka (Black Jack, Metal Gear Solid) will serve as series narrator, as Yuichiro Umehara plays the titular Black Jack. Shizuka Itō was tapped to play Maiko Okamoto, while Kōji Yusa will portray Yabu.
Umi ☆ Kuun will perform opening theme I Am Just Feeling Alive.

Young Black Jack will hit Japanese TV on October 1. The series will make its début on the TBS network, though a time has yet to be announced.
