Luffy and the Going Merry crew are setting their sights on the high seas, once again!
The ending of the One Piece – Episode of Sabo: Bond of Three Brothers – A Miraculous Reunion and an Inherited Will! special (try saying that three times fast!) revealed that a new One Piece movie is in the works. The feature will hit Japanese theaters in Summer 2016.
One Piece – Episode of Sabo: Bond of Three Brothers – A Miraculous Reunion and an Inherited Will! aired on Japanese TV earlier today.
FUNimation will stream the special in North America as a simulcast on August 23, at 2:00AM Eastern. Crunchyroll will stream the episode in the United States, Canada, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, and Latin America, though a specific première date has yet to be announced.
The previous One Piece film, One Piece Film Z, hit Japanese theaters in December 2012. The feature grossed $72,822,122 during its run.
