Shueisha unveiled the D.Gray-man anime last December. The series will cast Ayumu Murase (Show By Rock!!, The irregular at magic high school) as Allen Walker in the new adaptation, while Shinnosuke Tachibana (Kamisama Kiss, Gundam Build Fighters) will play Howard Link.

D.Gray-man is based on Katsura Hoshino’s manga of the same name. The series currently runs in Jump SQ.Crown, and spans 24 volumes. A 103-episode anime adaptation by TMS Entertainment aired from October 2006 through September 2008. Osamu Nabeshima (Yowamushi Pedal) directed the title with Nana Harada, who served as chief director for 89 episodes. Hideyuki Morioka (Sayonara, Zetsubou-Sensei) provided character designs, while Reiko Yoshida (Bakuman, Girls und Panzer) wrote the scripts.
