μ’s is here to chase bad breath away with a song in their hearts and a cheerful smile.
Last year, Love Live! fans cast votes for their favorite idols as they elected the newest poster girl for Glico’s Watering Kissmint chewing gum. The ballots have been counted and, earlier today, Glico named their winner. Maki Nishikino, the stand-offish composer of the group, was crowned as the queen of the μ’s fans, as well as the new face for Watering Kissmint.
To celebrate the announcement, Glico released a newly animated commercial, which features Maki, as well as μ’s song Angelic Angel.

The contest required fans to purchase one of 16 different gum variants, which were offered in four flavors:
- Peach
- Ume Sour
- Muscat
- Lychee Lemon
Gum in hand, customers voted by entering the serial number on the package into a promotional website. As thanks for their participation, fans received free wallpaper for their smartphones and PCs.
This isnt’ the first time that μ’s members have held side jobs. In 2014, Umi Sonoda was the poster girl for convenience store Lawson. A month later, Rin Hoshizora was named Sega’s Image Girl for a campaign in the company’s game centers.
