Those long, crazy days on the pitch are about to kick off!
Earlier today, the official Days anime Twitter account revealed the first cast members. The series will star the following:
- Tsukushi Tsukamoto: Takuto Yoshinaga
- Jin Kazama: Yoshitsugu Matsuoka
- Hisahito Mizuki: Daisuke Namikawa

Days will adapt Tsuyoshi Yasuda’s manga of the same name. Kōnosuke Uda, who directed the first 278 episodes of One Piece, will direct the series at MAPPA. Kazuto Nakazawa (House of Five Leaves, Samurai Champloo) is tasked with character designs, while Yoshihiro Ike (Tiger & Bunny) produces the soundtrack.
The rest of the confirmed staff includes:
- Sound Director: Masafumi Mima (Kuroko’s Basketball)
- Sound Production: Techno Sound
- Music Production: Pony Canyon
Days is a slice-of-life comedy series by Tsuyoshi Yasuda. The ongoing title kicked off in the pages of Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine on July 17, 2013. Since its début, the series has gone on to span 12 collected volumes.
