New Game! Anime Gets New Visual

Meet the new game, same as the old game.

Earlier today, the official New Game! anime website updated with a new visual. The teaser image features the show’s main cast, as they sit for tea and cookies.

In addition, the site confirmed that a “Level 1” fan event will be held at TOHO Cinemas Nihonbashi on June 11. The event will host a preview and talk show, as well as a performance by the voice actor unit fourfolium.

fourfolium is the collective name for New Game! actresses Yūki Takada, Megumi Yamaguchi, Megumi Toda, and Ayumi Takeo. The group is performin the show’s opening theme song.

New Game! is based on Shoutarou Tokunou’s manga of the same name. Yoshiyuki Fujiwara (Plastic Memories) is helming the project at studio Doga Kobo, with Ai Kikuchi (Engaged to the Unidentified) providing character designs. Fumihiko Shimo (Myriad Colors Phantom World) is in charge of series composition.
