“Drifters” Anime Hits Japanese TV In October 2016


Drifters Key Visual 001 - 20150327It’s time to drift into the latest series from Hellsing creator Kouta Hirano!

The latest issue of Kadokawa’s Da Vinci magazine (July 2016) revealed that the Drifters anime series will hit Japanese TV this October. Hirano, series editor Fudetani Yoshiyuki, and producer Yasuyuki Ueda will present the series at the Japan Expo in Paris, France on July 7.

Drifters will be directed by Kenichi Suzuki (Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure, Gundam Evolve) at Hoods Entertainment, with Ryoji Nakamori (Hellsing Ultimate) providing character designs. Hideyuki Kurata (Oreimo, The World God Only Knows) is in charge of series composition.

The confirmed voice cast includes:

  • Shimazu Toyohisa: Yūichi Nakamura
  • Oda Nobunaga: Naoya Uchida
  • Nasu no Yoichi: Mitsuki Saiga
  • Abe no Seimei: Takahiro Sakurai
  • Olminu: Shiho Kokido
  • Kafeto: Masakazu Nishida
  • Jeanne d’Arc: Junko Minagawa
  • Gilles de Rais: Kenji Nomura
  • Anastasia: Junko Kitanishi
  • Rasputin: Masahiko Tanaka
  • Hijikata Toshizo: Hiroki Yasumoto
  • Murasaki: Mitsuru Miyamoto
