First “Kiss Him, Not Me” Anime Visual Hits The Web

Trust me when I say that this probably isn’t the same Watamote that you’re thinking of.

Earlier today, TBS launched the official website and Twitter account for the Kiss Him, Not Me (Watashi ga Motete Dōsunda) anime series. The site updated with a new key visual, as well as a listing of the key staff members on the project:

Kiss Him Not Me Anime Visual 001- 20160613

Kiss Him, Not Me is based on Junko’s manga of the same name. Hiroshi Ishiodori (Bubblegum Crash, Peach Girl) is directing the series at Brain’s Base, with Kazuhiko Tamura (Rin-Ne, Gunparade Orchestra) providing character designs. Michiko Yokote (Genshiken, Shirobako) is in charge of series composition, while Mina Ōsawa (Actually, I Am…, Nurse Witch Komugi R) serves as Chief Animation Director.

The show is slated to hit Japanese TV this fall.

The Kiss Him, Not Me manga began publication in 2013, in the pages of Kodansha’s Bessatsu Friend magazine. The series currently spans eight collected volumes, with the ninth slated for a July 13, 2016 release. Kodansha holds the rights to the series in North America, and released the seventh volume on June 7.

Crunchyroll currently offers the title on its digital platform, with new chapters hitting as they’re published in Japan.
