The Straw Hat pirates are shipping off again!
Earlier today, the One Piece Film Gold staff unveiled a new visual for the feature. The visual, which will appear in theaters as a tapestry starting tomorrow, was drawn by series creator Eiichiro Oda.
One Piece Film Gold will hit theaters on July 23. The film is being helmed by series director Hiroaki Miyamoto is helming the project at Toei Animation, with Tsutomu Kuroiwa (Gantz:O) penning the script. Eiichiro Oda is attached as executive producer and costume designer. Masayuki Sato is filling the dual role of character designer and chief animation director.
The feature will début on 743 screens, which is the largest-ever opening for a Japanese film. The feature will be offered in five cities, with English and Chinese subtitled versions being shown. Screenings in 3D, 4DX, and MX4D will be offered in additional to the standard offering.
