Chain Chronicle: Haecceitas no Hikari Gets New PV, Cast, & Crew Reveals


Soon, the chains of fate will ensnare another group of heroes. Who will be the next one to step up?

Yesterday, Sega started streaming a new promo video for their upcoming (Chain Chronicle: Haecceitas no Hikari) anime series. The 40-second teaser was first shown off at last weekend’s “Kizuna no Daikansha Sai” fan event.

The series will be produced as three “chapters”, which will receive a theatrical run. Each chapter will receive a limited theatrical run, with schedule being as follows:

  • 12/3/2016: Chapter 1
  • 1/14/2017: Chapter 2
  • 2/11/2017: Chapter 3

During the event, Sega also unveiled the major cast and staff attached to the project. Masashi Kudo (Hayate the Combat Butler! Cuties, Ikki Tousen: Extravaganza Epoch) will helm the project and provide character designs at Telecom Animation Film and Graphinica. Touko Machida (Lucky Star, Karneval) is in charge of series composition.

The remaining crew includes:

Chain Chronicle: Haecceitas no Hikari is based on Sega’s Chain Chronicle smartphone game. In 2014, a series of eight theatrical shorts hit five Japanese cinemas. The episodes received a limited engagement in September 2014, which was followed by a DVD release on December 18 of the same year.
