Otakon 2016: Funimation Acquires “Psychic School Wars” Film

Earlier today, Funimation announced that they acquired the domestic rights to the Psychic School Wars (Nerawareta Gakuen) anime film. The publisher will release the title in a Blu-Ray/DVD combo pack on November 1.

The release will include an English dub. Funimation revealed the full dub cast, which includes:

Kenji Seki: Graham Halstead
Natsuki Suzuura: Cassandra Lee Morris
Kahori Harukawa: Alyson Leigh Rosenfeld
Ryoichi Kyogoku: Daniel J. Edwards

Psychic School Wars adapts Taku Mayumura’s sci-fi novel of the same name. The feature made its global début at the “Scotland Loves Anime” event in October 2012. The Japanese release was several weeks later, on November 11, 2012.

Ryosuke Nakamura (Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash) directed the film at Sunrise, with Mieko Hosoi (Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash, Shōwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjū) providing character designs. The team of Ryosuke Nakamura and Yuko Naito wrote the screenplay.
