Crunchyroll Adds “Trickster” To Fall 2016 Simulcasts

Earlier today, Crunchyroll announced that they will stream Trickster (Trickster: Edogawa Rampo ‘Shōnen Tantei-dan’ Yori) as part of their Fall 2016 simulcast lineup. The series will be available for subscribers starting on October 3, at 10:35AM Pacific (1:35PM Eastern). The show will be available to users in the following regions:

  • United States
  • Canada
  • United Kingdom
  • Ireland
  • Australia
  • New Zealand
  • South Africa
  • Iceland
  • Sweden
  • Norway
  • Netherlands

Trickster is based on Rampo Edogawa’s Boys Detective manga series. Masahiro Mukai (Hyperdimension Neptunia) is directing the project at Shin-Ei Animation and TMS Entertainment, with Shinya Yamada providing character designs. Erika Yoshida (Tiger & Bunny Episodes 15 & 23) is penning the show’s scripts, while Yuuki Hayashi (Death Parade, Robotics;Notes) scores the soundtrack.

The confirmed voice cast includes:

  • Kogoro Akechi: Daisuke Ono
  • Kensuke Hanazaki: Ryota Ohsaka

Crunchyroll describes Trickster as:

“Welcome to night to shine!” Phantom thief joker! We do not only steal! Audacity! Coming and go most unexpectedly! We cause miracle splendidly [miracle maker]! With Hachi of fellow for treasure to the whole world! Well, show is the start!
