Schoolgirl Strikers Anime Gets New Visual, Broadcast Details


Before you ask, no, this isn’t a football anime.

Earlier today, the official Schoolgirl Strikers Animation Channel website updated with a new visual. The image, which we’ve provided below, features the main characters in their combat gear.

The site also updated to confirm that the show will air on Tokyo MX, Sun TV, KBS Kyoto, and BS11 in January 2017.

schoolgirl-strikers-animation-channel-visual-002-20161118Schoolgirl Strikers Animation Channel is based on Square Enix’s “light novel-style RPG” mobile app. Hiroshi Nishikiori (Azumanga Daioh, A Certain Magical Index) will helm the project at J.C. Staff, with Yuichi Tanaka (A Certain Magical Index, My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU TOO!) providing character designs. Takao Yoshioka (Elfen Lied, Watamote) is in charge of series composition.

The confirmed voice cast includes:

  • Yumi Sajima: Kana Hanazawa
  • Tsubame Miyama: Kaori Ishihara
  • Io Yaginuma: Miyuki Sawashiro
  • Satoka Sumihara: Rina Hidaka
  • Mana Namori: Yui Ogura

Altair Torte will perform opening theme Mirai-kei Strikers (Futuristic Strikers). Closing theme Kitto Wonderful (Definitely Wonderful) will be handled by Rina Hidaka and Yui Ogura.
