Funimation Unveils “Love Tyrant” Dub Cast

Think a little more Yandere Simulator than My Love Story!!, and you’ll get the general idea behind this one.

Last night, Funimation unveiled their English dub cast for Love Tyrant. The series will star the following:

  • Guri: Jad Saxton
  • Seiji: Austin Tindle
  • Akane: Amber Lee Connors
  • Yuzu: Monica Rial
  • Coraly: Sonny Strait
  • Seiji’s Mother (Episode 1): Dawn M. Bennett
  • Seiji’s Father (Episode 1): Jerry Jewell
  • Seiji’s Grandmother (Episode 1): Anastasia Munoz

Jerry Jewell is directing the adaptation, which features scripts by Monica Rial. William Dewell is serving as ADR Engineer, while Andrew Tipps works as Mixing Engineer.

Love Tyrant‘s SimulDub kicked off last night at 9:30PM Eastern (6:30PM Pacific). The first episode is available for streaming on FunimationNow for subscribers.

Love Tyrant is based on Megane Mihoshi’s manga series of the same name. Atsushi Nigorikawa (Anime De Training! Ex) is directing the show at EMT Squared, with Mariko Ito (Anonymous Noise, Log Horizon) providing character designs. Natsuko Takahashi (Long Riders!, My Love Story!!) is in charge of series composition.

Funimation describes the series as:

The Kiss Note is a powerful notebook that makes people written in it instantly fall in love once they kiss. This magical item belongs to the angel Guri, who is tasked with creating couples. But when she accidentally writes Aino Seiji into her book, things become dire. If he doesn’t pucker up soon, Guri can kiss her life goodbye! Worse yet? While setting Seiji up, she finds herself falling for him!
