Now this was pretty unexpected. Kudos, Amazon.

Yesterday, Amazon announced that they will offer downloads of anime episodes to Anime Strike subscribers. Users are now able to download videos to their computers, tablets, and mobile devices via the Prime Video app. Downloaded episodes can be watched on the device without an internet connection.

Amazon released an infographic to promote the addition, which you can check out below:

Anime Strike is exclusive to Amazon Prime members in the United States, and runs $4.99 per month on top of normal Prime fees. Customers can give the channel a sample with a seven-day free trial.

Through 2017, Anime Strike subscribers will receive a free digital manga volume each month. This month’s selection is the first volume of Hitoshi Iwaaki’s Parasyte.
