“It’s Tough to Love an Otaku” Gets Anime Adaptation on noitaminA Block


It’s a romance for the uber-geek in all of us. Or osmething.

Earlier today, Shinjuku’s giant ALTA Vision screen showed off a teaser for an anime adaptation of Fujita’s Otaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii (It’s Tough to Love an Otaku). The five-minute promo confirms that the show will air on Fuji TV’s noitaminA block, along with the project’s main cast members.

The confirmed cast for Otaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii includes:

  • Narumi Momose: Arisa Date
  • Hirotaka Nifuji: Kento Itō
  • Hanako Koyanagi: Miyuki Sawashiro
  • Tarou Kabakura: Tomokazu Sugita
  • Naoya Nifuji: And Yūki Kaji

Date and Itō previously appeared in promo teasers for the manga.

Otaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii originally launched on image hosting platform Pixiv in 2014. The series was picked up by Ichijinsha, and made its debut in online publication Comic POOL in November 2015. The title currently spans three collected volumes, with the fourth volume slated to hit stores on July 26.

The Otakomu ni Koi wa Muzukashii anime was previously hinted at last week.
