Funimation Unveils Knight’s & Magic SimulDub Cast

So, I’d say this cast reveal is “enchanting” or “spellbinding”, but something tells me that’d just be a bit cheesy.

Earlier today, Funimation unveiled their English SimulDub cast for Knight’s & Magic. The series will star the following:

  • Ernesti: Justin Briner
  • Adeltrud: Jeannie Tirado
  • Archid: Stephen Fu
  • Kurata: Eric Vale
  • Ernesti (Child): Alexis Tipton
  • Batson: Ryan Reynolds
  • Selestina/Narrator: Rachel Messer
  • Stefania: Tia Ballard
  • Edgar: Chris Wehkamp
  • Dietrich: Josh Grelle
  • Helvi: Morgan Garrett
  • Mathius: Aaron Roberts
  • Lauri: John Swasey

Anthony Bowling is directing the adaptation, which features scripts by Josh Grelle. Xavier Earl is working as ADR Engineer for the project, while Neal Malley serves as Mixing Engineer. The dub will debut on July 30, at 4:00PM Eastern (1:00PM Pacific).

Knight’s & Magic is based on Hisago Amazake-no’s light novel series of the same name. Yusuke Yamamoto (Welcome to the NHK, Shōnen Maid) is directing the project at studio 8 bit, with Kenichiro Katsura (Walkure Romanze, Comic Party: Revolution) providing character designs. Michiko Yokote (Cute High Earth Defense Club LOVE!, Princess Tutu) is in charge of series composition.

Funimation describes the show as:

Ernesti, a talented programmer and mecha fan in his previous life, is reincarnated into a fantasy world where humanoid weapons exist. Since he still has all his memories and interests from his previous life, he aims to become the pilot of one of these weapons. Together with his friends, he sets out to make it happen. It’s a mecha otaku’s dream come true!
