Blood Blockade Battlefront & BEYOND Gets New Promo Ahead of 10/7/2017 Premiere


Get ready to go beyond in just a couple of weeks!

Earlier today, the Blood Blockade Battlefront anime franchise’s official Twitter account updated with a new promotional video for Blood Blockade Battlefront & BEYOND. The 90-second trailer features opening theme song Fake Town Baby by Unison Square Garden as a background track.

Blood Blockade Battlefront & BEYOND will hit Japanese TV on October 7. The show will air on the following networks:

  • MBS: 10/7/2017 at 27:08 (10/8/2017 at 3:08AM)
  • Tokyo MX: 10/8/2017 at 24:30 (10/9/2017 at 12:30AM)
  • BS11: 10/8/2017 at 24:30 (10/9/2017 at 12:30AM)

The series is a sequel to 2015’s Blood Blockade Battlefront. Shigehito Takayanagi (The World God Only Knows, Dagashi Kashi) is directing the show at Bones, with Toshihiro Kawamoto (Cowboy Bebop, Noragami) pulling double duty as character designer and chief animation director. Yasuko Kamo (Dagashi Kashi) is in charge of series composition.

The confirmed voice cast includes:

Funimation currently holds the domestic rights to the first season of Blood Blockade Battlefront, which they describe as:

A breach between Earth and the netherworld opens under New York, trapping New Yorkers and interdimensional creatures in a bubble.
