Godzilla: Monster Planet Movie Gets Extended Teaser Trailer


So, what do you do when dealing with the King of the Monsters? You go big. If that’s not enough, then you need to go epic.

earlier today, the official Godzilla anime film trilogy’s website updated with a new teaser trailer. The 95-second promo highlights the battles between Godzilla and the humans, as theme song White Out by XAI plays as a background track.

Godzilla: Monster Planet, will hit Japanese theaters on November 17. The feature will stream later this year on Netflix as a Netflix Original project.

The Godzilla films was also presented as a feature in this year’s Annecy International Film Festival’s “Work in Progress” program.

The film will be directed by Kobun Shizuno (Knights of Sidonia) and Hiroyuki Seshita (Blame!) at Polygon Pictures. Gen Urobuchi (Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Psycho-Pass) is writing the script.

The confirmed voice cast includes:

  • Yuko Tani: Kana Hanazawa
  • Haruo Sakaki: Mamoru Miyano
  • Mulu-Elu Galu-gu: Junichi Suwabe
  • Metphies: Takahiro Sakurai
  • Martin Lazzari: Tomokazu Sugita
  • Adam Bindewald: Yuuki Kaji
