Hold It! New Ace Attorney Anime English Dub Clip Hits the Web

You’re watching, damn it, and I can prove it!

Earlier today, Funimation started streaming an English dub clip for the Ace Attorney anime series. The 90-second promo features a look at the show’s first case, which pits Phoenix against the (not-so) mighty Winston Payne as he defends his friend Larry Butz.

Funimation will release Ace Attorney on home video on January 23. The series will ship in a Blu-Ray/DVD Combo Pack. The series aired in the Spring 2016 broadcast season.

The English dub will star the following:

Ace Attorney is based on Capcom’s video game franchise of the same name. Ayumu Watanabe (If Her Flag Breaks, Space Brothers) directed the series at A-1 Pictures. Keiko Ōta (Hyakko!) provided character designs on the project, while Atsuhiro Tomioka (Inazuma Eleven, Pokémon XY) took charge of series composition.

Kaoru Wada (Princess Tutu, Ninja Scroll) is composed the soundtrack.

Funimation describes the show as:

As a brand-new defense lawyer, Phoenix Wright is learning what it means to be a true defender of justice. But when his mentor is murdered, things go downhill fast! With all evidence pointing to the victim’s sister Maya, it’s up to Phoenix to use all his wit and powerful shouting to prove her innocence. Which is easier said than done when up against Miles Edgeworth, the genius prosecutor.
