“You don’t know Gunma yet.” Manga Gets Anime TV Series


Get your passports stamped, because we’re heading to Gunma!

Earlier today, Aya Uchida fans flocked to Tokyo’s Toyosu Pit to see the actress in concert. During the event, the MC announced that that Hiroto Ida’s You don’t know Gunma yet. (Omae wa Mada Gunma o Shiranai) manga will receive an anime TV series. Uchida will perform closing theme song So Happy.

A website and Twitter account for the project opened their doors today, which feature the first crew members, as well as a key visual and broadcast details.

Key Visual

Staff

The project will be directed by Mankyū (Puchim@s, Fist of the North Star: Strawberry Flavor), who is also taking charge of series composition at Asahi Production. Tomonori Kogawa (The Ideon: A Contact, Space Battleship Yamato Resurrection, ) is in charge of character designs for the project.

Broadcasting

You don’t know Gunma yet. will première in April. Gunma TV, Animax, and GyaO! will carry the title as it airs.

Hiroto Ida’s You don’t know Gunma yet. launched in October 2013, on Shinchosha’s digital platform Kurage Bunch. Eight compiled volumes have been released to date, with the most recent shipping to stores in July 2017.

A live-action TV series based on the series also aired in March 2017, on NTV.
