“Butlers: Chitose Momotose Monogatari” Anime Gets New Visual & Cast Member

It looks like these butlers are serving up some good news today.

Earlier today, the official Butlers: Chitose Momotose Monogatari (Butlers: A Millennium Century Story) anime website updated with a new cast member and visual, as well as details on the show’s closing theme song. We break the details down below.

Key Visual

The image features lead characters Koma Jinguji and Tsubasa Hayakawa against a sparkly background. Headshots of the two characters frame the two characters on the top-left and bottom-right corners of the frame.

Cast

Sachika Misawa will play Tenna Kisaragi, Jay’s “true’ younger sister. A visual for the character was also released, which you can check out below.

Theme Songs

Sachika Misawa will perform closing theme song Hidamari no Niwa ~Eternal Garden~. Misawa and Takuya Satō will perform songs for the ending theme’s single CD, which hits retailers on April 25.

Butlers ~Chitose Momotose Monogatari~ will hit Japanese TV in April. The show was delayed from a January premiere due to production issues.

Masaru Takahashi is directing the project at Silver Link, with Fujiko Kosumi providing character designs. Megumi Shimizu is in charge of series composition for the show.

Other confirmed crew members include:

  • Original Concept: Intouchable Butlers (SummerACG)
  • Sound Director: Masanori Tsuchiya
  • Music: TOMISIRO
  • Music Production: Lantis
  • Production: Butlers ~Chitose Momotose Monogatari~ Project

The confirmed voice cast includes:

  • Tsubasa Hayakawa: Takuya Satō
  • Koma “Jay” Jinguji: Tatsuhisa Suzuki
  • Kyoichi Sano: Kazuaki Kobayashi
  • Hikari Kageyama: Keisuke Koumoto
  • Yuki Fujishiro: Kenn
  • Ren Shiratori: Mitsuki Saiga
  • Takashi Mikuni: Noriaki Sugiyama
  • Daichi Kurosawa: Seiichirō Yamashita
  • Hotaru Aoba: Takuma Nagatsuka
  • Akira Tachibana: Tomoaki Maeno
  • Haruto Hizakura: Toshiyuki Toyonaga

Butlers: Chitose Momotose Monogatari will revolve around two leads: Koma “Jay” Jinguji, and Tsubasa Hayakawa. Jinguji is the student council president. And, as expected, he’s smart, he’s elegant, and he’s able to capture the hearts of women with but a simple smile. Hayakawa, meanwhile, is a multi-talented café assistant. His claim to fame is his latte art, particularly of owls, for which he’s become quite popular with female patrons.

Jay is also a member of a clan of mystical guardians whose history stretches back more than a thousand years. He lives with his sister Tenna, along with their butler Tsubasa Hayakawa. One day, a distortion in the space-time continuum hits their family home. Tenna mysteriously vanishes, and Jay is thrust a hundred years in the future. Apparently, a high school known as Koyomi Academy was built on the site of Jay’s ancestral home. And, being a TV show protagonist, he enrolls there in hopes of finding answers. As he seeks answers to restoring the natural order, Jay is reunited with Hayakawa, who now makes ends meet by working at a Butler café.
