So, will this be a lucky day for the studio?

Earlier today, A-1 Pictures announced that they’re renaming Kōenji Studio to CloverWorks. According to the announcement, CloverWorks will strive to become a more unique studio, in order to respond to a diversifying anime scene.

An official website and Twitter account were also opened for the rebranded outfit. The website lists the company’s current and future projects. According to the site, CloverWorks is currently working on three currently-running titles, as well as the upcoming second season of the Ace Attorney anime TV series:

  • DARLING in the FRANXX
  • Persona 5 The Animation
  • Slow Start

A-1 Pictures was founded in 2005 by former Sunrise producer Mikihiro Iwata. The studio, which was as a subsidiary of Aniplex, co-produced Zenmai Zamurai in 2006. Since then, the studio has become major player within the industry, working on fan-favorite titles like Fairy Tail, Blue Exorcist, Sword Art Online, and Your Lie in April.
