If there was ever a time that I wished I lived in Japan, now would be that time.
For the 30th anniversary of Record of Lodoss War, four new projects were announced by Sneaker Bunko which will excite fans, both new and not so new.
To start things off, Lodoss War will be receiving a completely new work this fall by the original author Ro Mizuno with Hidari providing illustrations. The work will be released in Japan this fall.
The second announcement made by Sneaker Bunko was that the franchise would also be getting a 2D side scrolling video game. The title will be released on Valve’s Steam marketplace, though a specific release date wasn’t announced. A two minute long trailer was posted which highlights some Deedlit art.
Third up in this announcement train was the reveal that the original tabletop RPG would be getting a revival this fall along with the brand new work previously mentioned.
Finally, we have a treat for those who were complaining about the recent re-release not having an HD version… the original series from 1990 will be getting a Blu-ray box set.
That’s a whole lot of Lodoss to look forward to in the coming year!
